On Friday 7th February we headed back to the legendary O2 venue, Building Six (formally Matter) as part of the first leg of our 18th Birthday celebrations.
The atmosphere was second to none and the emotions were running high for the Hospital team and all the artists.
Here’s your chance to check out the full recording of High Contrast’s DJ set at Hospitality at Building Six (formerly Matter), London, on February 7th 2014, hosted by MC Wrec!

The first single to be taken from Fred V & Grafix forthcoming debut LP. Recognise showcases these two young producers at the peak of their game.
Combining prodigious song-writing, epic musicality and dancefloor sensibility, ‘Recognise’ eschews the predictable structure of todays identikit D+B and opens with intricate arpeggios and skittering beats. Evolving into an ambitious and complex composition featuring lead vocals from Fred V himself.
Simultaneously intellectual and effortless, it’s a breath of fresh air that builds on the success of Fred V & Grafix previous successes ‘Major Happy’, ‘Games People Play’ and the current ‘Catch My Breath’,
Receiving its debut airplay on Annie Mac’s Friday night Radio One show, Fred V & Grafix count Subfocus, Netsky, Mistajam and B Traits as fans.
Young gun Emperor applies his twisted neurofunk genius to the remix for this package, choosing to frontload the song and harmonic structure before descending with a Spartan bassline workout and rugged tick-tock drums which will have every 21st century junglist grinning from ear to ear.
Fellow South-Western young guns “Panda” drop the tempo and flip the genre with their own sublime take on the original to round off the package.
As we celebrate our coming of age we head over to DJ Mag HQ for a Pre-Building Six party!
This will be a great pre-party for our SOLD OUT return to the O2 as we re-live the days of Hospitality at Matter.
This Friday we head up to Building Six at the O2 in North Greenwich. Memories of hosting parties at the O2 stretch back to 2008, when we began our 2-year residency at superclub Matter, where each & every show was a sold-out, unmissable experience. Fast forward to today & we are returning to the O2 to brand new venue Building Six, where we will be bringing a world class lineup, soundsystem and atmosphere… as standard.
To add to the birthday celebrations we’re bringing you another BIG London show as we also return to Heaven, Charing Cross Sunday 4th May.
There are very limited tickets available for this show so grab them HERE while you can.

‘Loving You Is Easy’ shows us even more soul and disco style from the boys, and has become a centrepiece of their DJ sets, as well as radio tracklistings across the airwaves.
Alongside the original tempo version there are remixes from S.P.Y who ups the twists up both genre and tempo pairing an infectious garage bassline under skittering d&b backing, Infuze strips things back with some minimal dub sensibility while up-coming Belgian star Pomrad broadens the genre-pool further with his unique maximal sound.
As if all that wasn’t enough the package is rounded off with the apocalyptic ‘Armageddon’ featuring the signature Camo & Krooked sound. Heavy industrial synths build and build to a riotous drop with pile driving drums and shuddering sub-bass.
Fred V & Grafix were invited to provide a Daily Dose mix for Mistajam on BBC 1xtra this week. The mix was deemed so good by the powers that be at the Beeb that they have decided to make it available to listen again for a whole month. So if you weren’t tuned in earlied in the week, don’t fear – you can still catch the mix by clicking the image above.
