Pursuing a rapid ascension to D&B’s top table since signing to Hospital Records Fred V & Grafix have quickly become one of the most talked about acts in the scene. Having remixed top 10 hits for Rudimental and Subfocus, and released a string of singles and tracks on Hospital, they now present their debut long player.
Having released mostly on the Civil Music imprint until now, Alex Melia AKA Reso has signed to Hospital to release this EP of four brand new tracks.
Previous Hospital outings include the grinding anthem “War Machine”, drum-step funfest “Slap Chop” and more recently glimmering synth stepper “Kamina” on Hospitals ‘We Are 18’ Project. For the first time in Hospital Records history this release is available exclusively on a limited edition 2x10” format.
All sales proceeds go directly to Street Child World Cup
‘I am Somebody’ features Hospital Records artists London Elektricity, S.P.Y, Diane Charlemagne alongside Corpus Christi School and is a statement of identity which will challenge the negative perceptions and treatment of street children across the world. Featuring great alternative remixes straight off the ward from S.P.Y, Nu:Tone and Med Schools very own Lung.
The first single to be taken from Fred V & Grafix forthcoming debut LP. Recognise showcases these two young producers at the peak of their game.
Combining prodigious song-writing, epic musicality and dancefloor sensibility, ‘Recognise’ eschews the predictable structure of todays identikit D+B and opens with intricate arpeggios and skittering beats. Evolving into an ambitious and complex composition featuring lead vocals from Fred V himself.
