Nu:Logic is a collaborative partnership between Hospital stalwarts Nu:Tone and Logistics. Individually, the Gresham brothers have released a total of seven long players already on Hospital, each to great critical acclaim.
The sum of their combined powers is oozing with the kind of soulful drum + bass, which is the foundation of the Hospital label and will satisfy long term fans who hanker after the golden days of the genre.

With its unassuming bleep intro, “Goggles” will no doubt take some by surprise with its subterranean sounds as bubbling bass and intricate arpeggios; “Games People Play” ups the ante with a more recognisable Fred V & Grafix aesthetic and then we have “Denmark Road” with its shimmying soundscape, shuffling breaks and Calibre-esque sweeps. Beware the epic “Basilisk” awaiting at the end of the EP with its hypnotizing intro and contorting synth work.
After delivering some of 2012’s most iconic music, High Contrast returns with another superb single to get 2013 off to a cracking start.
First up, we have the awe-inspiring “Spectrum Analyser” with its immense intro that artfully pairs a driving, mechanical tone with bleepy 8-bit SFX. Flipping over for “Some Things Never Change”, this one is full of nostalgic undertones and drifting melodies. With a vintage sound reminding you exactly why you love High Contrast so much, “Some Things Never Change” remains true to its title.
As part of Annie Mac’s “Free Music Monday”, Fred V & Grafix’s “Games People Play” is up for grabs. This is an unheard exclusive forthcoming on their debut solo single on Hospital next month!
Last night we all attended the Drum & Bass Arena Awards 2012 in Brixton. It was a great celebration of the scene’s achievements in the past year and we were pleased to come away with three awards:-
