Med School signing and prodigious Welsh talent Lung has made a conscious decision not to indulge in passing trends and the temptations of throwaway internet culture, instead putting quality firmly before quantity and delicately crafting his spectacular debut album “Wait Less Suspense” which is due out on Monday 16th September.
Bringing together an array of tempos and influences from across the spectrum, “Wait Less Suspense” maintains an effortless continuity and togetherness making it an essential purchase for open-minded fans of electronic music.
First up is the 12″ sampler of Fred V & Grafix – “Major Happy”, a future Hospitality anthem for sure with bleepy hook and euphoric melodies. This one has been getting a lot of airplay from Annie Mac, as well as DJ support from the likes of Sub Focus, TC, Bassline Smith and more. Backed with a stylish piece from Medschool artist Lung – “Rollerball”. BUY NOW
As well as this is the 7″ sampler (possibly our favourite physical music format of all) from Danny Byrd – “Blaze The Fire (Rah!) (feat. General Levy) (Stray Remix)” which re-works the original, amplifying the old skool vibes. Accompanying this is the stripped down funk of “Dove From Above” (feat. Klose) by Raiden featuring the vocal talents of Klose. BUY NOW
Having signed exclusively to Med School last year, 21-year old Lung brings us his debut solo release on the label, the “Why Does Anyone Ever Do Anything?” EP, which is due out on 16th April.
Featuring up-and-coming vocalist Rachel K Collier in the D&B-driven title track, the EP takes us through sublime dubstep cut “Sky People” to excellent 120bpm outing “Asleep In Her Bed” and finishes with the divine “Complete Me, Completely”.
Make sure you check out the official video for “Why Does Anyone Ever Do Anything?” over on the Med School YouTube channel HERE – it features cameo appearances from Lung and Rachel K Collier!
