The final ever release see on Med School see’s Lakeway’s tale of misadventure continue with the second instalment of his synth-wave and instrumental grime inspired drum & bass.
‘The Misadventures of Lakeway Part 2’ includes three tracks of cross-genre experimentation and meddling bass infusions. This EP is also the final release on Hospital Records’ sister label Med School, following the label’s recent closure. Keep an eye out for the future ‘Misadventures of Lakeway’ on Diffrent Music in 2020.
Heading up the second set of misadventures is ‘Can’t Beg’ – bittersweet vocals from Rubi Elle glide over dark synths and hypnotic arpeggios. The haunting stepper ‘No Regrets’ is coated in icy soundscapes with rattling percussion and jungle influences. ‘Tearful Tripper’ is littered with heavyweight percussion, and is a testament to Lakeway’s reputation as a fearless beatsmith.
