Soulvent Records was dreamt up back in winter 2013 in a pub somewhere in East London. The 3 of us – Liam Holyoak-Rackal, Jack ‘Pola’ Higgins & Joe Goss – started the label with one simple ethos; focus on the music. It was our ‘soul’ intention (excuse the pun) to find quality drum and bass from young, talented, up and coming producers. Two years on from the birth of the label and a man up in the form of PR guru Tom Surey, we’ve been slowly carving out a sound we’re extremely proud of. We have a 17 release strong back catalogue thanks to artists all over the globe and with a massive year ahead of us, we’ve never been more excited to be a part of a buzzing drum and bass scene.
The event scene is still very new to us at Soulvent, as we’ve put a lot of effort into getting a hype around our music before getting a regular night going, which is something we’re most definitely planning on! The crew hosted a launch party for Pola & Bryson’s ‘The Music’ EP back in April, of course, in a pub somewhere in East London. After a great night of family vibes and sick music we decided to team up with Heavy Signal events in August to co-host an event at The Silver Bullet in Finsbury Park. The night was another success and gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase our first ever compilation album ‘Soul Sessions Vol.1’. After a couple slots at Hospital nights for the likes of Pola & Bryson and NCT we were overly excited at the offer to be a part of Ultrasound at Ministry of Sound. We’ve always had a strong relationship with the Hospital crew and we can’t wait to smash the Baby Box to show our appreciation for the hook up!
These guys are our day ones. Jack ‘Pola’ Higgins is one third of the Soulvent founders and he met Harry ‘formerly known as Bryzone’ Bryson when living up north in 2013. Shortly after discovering they were musically inseparable they returned to London as an official duo and released their debut EP ‘The Music’. Big things are coming in 2016, the word album is all that needs to be said. Don’t sleep on these two!

After meeting each other through uni gigs & social groups in Leicester, Jonathan Campbell & Tom Alston haven’t looked back since. GLXY have hit 2015 with a bang carving their deep, bass driven sound through releases on Liquid Tones, Soulvent, Terabyte & Limitless Recordings. With another massive project forthcoming on Soulvent in early 2016, these guys are ones you want to keep an eye on.
Super talented Bristolian producer Alexandre ‘Phaction’ Pavlou is next up. Already working with Fokuz & Liquicity, we’re proud to have Alexandre feature on the latest Soulvent release ‘The Remix EP’. His smooth, jazzy take on Pola & Bryson’s ‘Stolen Glances’ breathes new life into what has already become a staple soundtrack to summer 2015.
Another name that has been around Soulvent since the start. Data 3 is made up of Alex Kostyakov, Dan Hartley & of course Harry Bryson. Dark, tech & minimal vibes come to mind when these three jump on the ones & twos. Expect big bangers & bassy bootlegs.
After a number of whopping b2b sets, London based DJ’s Ikarus & exSwitch have recently teamed up & made it official. These guys having been tearing up the London scene at various shows, most notably with their residency at the Heavy Signal Events nights.
