Expecting the unexpected has become part of the Cyantific formula. Fresh from their controversial remix of the Nextmen & Dynamite MC's “High Score”, the mighty Cyantific come with their 2nd Hospital single for 2003.
“Be True” is an amen tumper. Complete with tidy vocal edits, a twisted up bass line + some devastating synth stabs and squelches. There's a definite 95 jungle feel too - warm pads holding it down against some dub-wise fx. Made purely with the dancefloor in mind, this certainly doesn't disappoint - as those who've heard it out will testify.
On the flip is a slice of classic Cyantific, with a subtle electro feel. Featuring additional production from Colombian Miami resident (and sometime John B collaborator) Merly B, “Heart Beating” is a smooth vocal rollout. Gary Numan-esque strings in the breakdown complete the equation. Like we said before - expect the unexpected, and get ready for some seriously ill Cyance!
