The mighty High Contrast's first foray onto Hospital wax since his absolutely massive “Tough Guys Don’t Dance” album. Having remixed chart toppers Adele, The Utah Saints and Eric Prydz it’s time to return to the Hospital fold with his own awesome relick of one of his biggest tracks to date.
The “Upstairs Downstairs Remix” opens with some expansive pads and chopped vocals referencing UK garage and soul, before the original vocal that we all know so well returns to signal a motherfunking drop into that famous riff. Twisted and sculpted into an electro d+b monster – this remix succeeds where others fail - causing maximum impact on the dancefloor whilst remaining suitably respectable to the original.
Bringing the contrast on the flip is “Seven Notes in Black” a homage to his favourite soundtrack composer and a devastating piece of hybrid d+b ruffage to boot. Already causing maximum damage in clubs and across the airwaves – get set for another Contrast anthem!
