PART OF ME arrived a day late for the 3rd Plastic Surgery project, at the end of last year. Probably a blessing in disguise, since this Klute production is an outstanding piece of twisted soul for music-lovers of every persuasion. PART OF ME combines elements of deep Detroit techno, US vocal garage and finely-tuned breakbeats.
PART OF ME is Klute's debut outing on Hospital Records, but his name needs little introduction to the majority of music-folk today. He has a heavy djing schedule that regularly takes in Europe, North America, and a recent roadblock at the Hospital monthly in Shoreditch this Summer. With releases already on Metalheadz and 31 Recordings, Tom Withers has a top-quality CV, as well as his own imprint Commercial Suicide, and a third album coming on Certificate 18.
As drum+bass continues to grow in the mainstream consciousness, Klute is not fazed by all the hype circulating. He is always one to take chances, creating the future sounds that break down barriers; and PART OF ME is definitely that.
