The 12” sampler from the forthcoming “Weapons of Mass Creation” LP and it's D&B of biblical proportions.
Straight out of Hungary comes SKC - with his liquid techno anthem “Free my Soul” it's been a fave with the A-list on plate for a while - and it's available for the first time here on vinyl. This epic rollout builds into something spectacular with Balearic chords, pinned down by a twisting LFO bassline. SKC's production is second to none, as “Free My Soul” shows - and marks him out as a serious talent to watch in 2004.
On the Flip, Logistics' “Replay” is some soundsystem business. After a swift drum intro with scattering percussion and some funky keys, the drop introduces a heavy sub-line which rocks the floor in style. Part of Cambridge's new wave of D+B talent (alongside Commix and the mighty Nu:Tone), and with early Dub-plate support on “Replay” from the mighty Grooverider (among others) they're gonna be a serious force in 2004.
