With 2004's massive Future Sound Of Cambridge EP still shifting units a year after it's release Hospital unleashes the next in the series.
Hungarian wonder boy SKC has been responsible for some of the most slamming dancefloor D&B to come out of Eastern Europe. With the likes of Bratwa, Chris SU, Mindscape, Tactile, et al there's a very healthy D&B scene bubbling along the banks of the Danube. The time is now, for us to showcase the very best of that scene on this collection of tracks.
A - “What's Happening” set's the scene. Tough, gated amens, and a squelching vintage synth B-line driving the dancefloor. Already a favourite with High Contrast, expect to hear this tearing up the sets of the A-List.
B - “Time Is Now” is reminiscent of the vintage soul sounds we first heard from SKC and Bratwa on the Weapons Of Mass Creation LP. A heartfelt male vocal, cheeky flute hints, it's late nights on the Danube.
C - “Chillin” flips the script and comes with a deeper style. Fresh and clean sounding, another masterful mixdown marks the quality out. Chillin' has been getting early dubplate attention from Total Science among others.
D - “Semi-Bluff” is the jewel in the crown, a jungle jazz odyssey 2005 style. Unique and uncompromising - make no mistake, this is no wishy washy liquid funk, it's full on system shaking business! Realise.
