After a two year hiatus ‘Hospitality’ is back, and bigger than ever! This massive fifth instalment comes fresh from winning “Best Club Night” (for the fourth year running!) at the Drum&Bass Arena awards.
Recorded LIVE on Bondi Beach Radio in Australia with London Elektricity. Big shouts to everyone involved for making this possible.
To celebrate our 18 years in the game, we bring you an outstanding selection of brand new and exclusive tracks. Curated over the last six months specifically for this project this outstanding triple album is groaning at the seams with label heavy hitters such as High Contrast, Danny Byrd, Netsky and London Elektricity, as well as showcasing new music from some of the most exciting new talents around, including Fred V & Grafix, Metrik, S.P.Y, and Medschool’s man of the moment Etherwood.
With the drum & bass scene bigger and badder than ever before in 2014, could we ever have imagined way back in 1996 when Hospital was launched that we would have gone from a tiny eccentric imprint to the all conquering label we are today?
We’ve called on our family and friends to chip in with remixes and collaborative input from the likes of Shogun Audio’s Friction, Total Science and DJ Marky and with eyes on the future we’ve sought the sound of things to come in the shape of Hugh Hardie, Ed:It, Krakota and Rollz.
With label retrospectives ten a penny, this album looks squarely forward and defines 2014s d+b agenda with 29 outstanding moments. So, who’s up for another 18 years?
First up, ’Everlasting Days’ is a soulful garage inspired number, harking back to the haclyon days of the 90s with a catchy hook and lush vocals from Lifford. Accompanying this is a VIP of ‘We Live There’ which brings in Mancunian vocal talent DRS together with warm, rumbling bass, low-slung beats and compelling twisted, tech-y D&B rhythms.

Nu:Logic is a collaborative partnership between Hospital stalwarts Nu:Tone and Logistics. Individually, the Gresham brothers have released a total of seven long players already on Hospital, each to great critical acclaim.
The sum of their combined powers is oozing with the kind of soulful drum + bass, which is the foundation of the Hospital label and will satisfy long term fans who hanker after the golden days of the genre.

We have just uploaded the first in a series of videos previewing the Nu:Logic album “What I’ve Always Waited For”, which is due for release on Hospital Records on March 25th.
Working with director Nez Savaşkan we wanted to create visual accompaniments for each of Nu:Logic’s tunes which captured the vibe and feeling of each track. This resulted in a series of twelve simple vignettes not conforming to the standard conventions you might expect from a promo video.
“Morning Light” is the lead track and introduces you to the locations and characters whose lives you will be observing over the next two weeks as we reveal them in the run up to the album’s release.
Check out all the videos on their official website at NuLogicMusic.com!
Calm and mellow from start to finish, “Morning Light” is a blissed out track which pairs pattering drums with cooing vocals for maximum effect, whilst guitar strumming and sub-heavy upright bass add weight and depth.
Over on the flipside we have the not-so-cuddly “Grizzly” which switches up the tempo and goes for the jugular with superb trigger-clicking, bass-ridden stabbing beats.
We’re shaking up our Winter schedule in 2013 and celebrating the new year in with another massive Hospitality show at Brixton Academy on Friday 25.01.13.
