Bournemouth-based Sebastian Inwood has been hitting the D+B circuit hard since exclusively signing to the Hospital camp last June. Already with his full-pelting Hospital debut under his belt it’s time for take two, bringing a chillingly cold welcome to his daringly destructive ‘Ice Hands’ and ‘Ghosts’ combo.
“Ice Hands”, evoking sci-fi inspired scenes lulls you into a false sense of security before taking a sudden turn; submerging you in a deep pit of quick punching synths and complex drum-patterns that let you get lost. A track that teases the ear, discovering new found levels with each play.
After a two year hiatus ‘Hospitality’ is back, and bigger than ever! This massive fifth instalment comes fresh from winning “Best Club Night” (for the fourth year running!) at the Drum&Bass Arena awards.
It’s our first show of 2015 and we’ve packed in a full house at the Rinse FM studios. We catch up with ‘Hospitality 2015’ featured artists Hugh Hardie and HLZ, followed up by a heavy thirty-minute live mix from Hospital’s very own Krakota.
Hospital’s freshest signing and Bournemouth based producer Krakota is set to release his debut Hospital EP on the 13th of October, which includes two contrasting tracks of quality nu-school d+b magic; ‘Xylo’, and ‘Irregular’on the flipside. Instantly recognisable thanks to it’s infectious percussive riff (the clue’s is in the title), ‘Xylo’ is a syncopated stepper which drops hard thanks to a rugged rumbling off beat sub. ‘Irregular’ switches the story with stacato synth work and angry angular beats.
With earlier releases on Critical, Ingredients, Subtitles and the mighty Playaz label, not to mention two tracks on Hospitals epic ‘We Are 18’ compilation at the start of this year, Krakota see the likes of Friction, Fabio and Crissy Criss already supporting heavily.

Like they say about buses, you wait ages for one and three come along at once! Hospital are excited to announce the worldwide signing of not one but three new artists – Krakota, Lynx and Reso.

Krakota joins the surgery after ear-catching releases on Critical, Ingredients and Integral, but Hospital fans should know him well from his contributions to this year’s Hospital: We Are 18 album. Expect bass heavy, break laden productions.
Reinventing drum+bass from the ground up, Lynx’s funk-fuelled sets have gained a reputation for smashing stereotypes as well as dance floors and, like his productions, appeal to clubbers across the spectrum. Soul:r, Creative Source, Digital Soundboy and his own imprint Detail Recordings are just some of the leading labels he’s released on, not to mention his most recent single on Ram Records; all are proof that his sound is not only fresh but diverse. Lynx has clearly demonstrated he’s not afraid to break the mould whilst staying true to his own style.
Reso has been in the extended family since ‘Slap Chop’ blew up Sick Music 2, and has been a regular contributor to Hospital since, culminating in the release of the double-10″ uniqueness, Pulse Code EP this spring. We loved his work with Civil Music and are ecstatic to have him on board.
Much love for all of our artists – welcome to the family!
Krakota started the year right with Hospital because his in-patient signing with the label was preceded with not one but two tracks on our massive Hospital: We Are 18 album in January.
